Gioia is a budding journalist currently based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Her work has appeared in The Associated Press, The Independent, The Boston University News Service, and more.

Gioia graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2023, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Italian Studies and a Business Fundamentals Certificate. 

During her third year of undergrad, she immersed herself in a six-month language program in Florence, Italy. The experience exposed her to the publishing world, deepened her appreciation for photography, and offered a different perspective on language.

She graduated from Boston University in December 2024 with her master's in journalism. During her time at BU, she assisted in the journalism department and ran the social media pages for the Boston University News Service.
